Monsters vs Aliens the Movie

When aliens attack, monsters fight back. Cute monsters, actually. Released in 2009, Monsters vs. Aliens brings up e more human and friendly face of the monsters we usually fear so much.

On her wedding day, Susan Murphy (interpreted by Reese Witherspoon) is hit by a meteorite fully infused with Quantonium. Quantonium is a rare and powerful element that causes her to grow to an enormous size, and also, en element looked and desired by a very ugly and mean alien, Gallaxhar, who, of course, wants to conquer the world.

Being officially targeted as a monster, Susan is captured and imprisoned at a secret facility where other such oddities are being held.

This includes Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), a mad scientist who accidentally transformed himself into a roach-human hybrid,

B.O.B. (Seth Rogen), a gelatinous, brainless mass brought to life in an experiment gone wrong(but a very sweet one), The Missing Link (Will Arnett), a Creature-from-the-Black-Lagoon-like lizard man, and the skyscraper-sized mutant larvae Insectosaurus.

The fight between the good and the evil is now symbolized by the fight between monsters and aliens.

The idea of this movie is that: one, the good always defeats the bad, and two: those monsters can be friendly, cute, and misinterpreted.

The directors of this picture, Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon, have successfully created great and well designed characters, with the help of famous voices like Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogen, Renée Zellweger, Rainn Wilson and Will Arnett.
