Florence Welch has been a fascinating appearance ever since she made her debut into show-business. Lead singer of the Florence and the Machine, 24-year-old Florence is the latest cover girl of Nylon June 2011 for the magazine's music issue. She has a particular beauty and a great voice, probably one of the best in her generation.
Florence went to Camberwell College of Arts before dropping out to focus on her music. The band's debut album called 'Lungs' was released on July 6, 2009 and reached the top position in UK Albums Chart. In the interview with 'Nylon', the young singer talks about her childhood dreams, music and emotions, career and her first European tour.
"We were desperate to do it, but obviously had no money. But my dad said he'd take us around in his camper van... so [the band] and my dad chugged around Europe for a month. We'd get to these tiny European towns and just look for the biggest thing there, which was always MGMT's tour bus. That's how we found the venue. They must have thought we were insane, turning up with pots and pans rattling, hanging out the window like 'Hellooo'", she told the magazine.
