Gorgeous Elizabeth Banks covers Allure's June 2012 issue and opens up about infertility, being a bread-winner, and her raunchy-comedy sex scenes. The 38-year-old actress and her husband, producer Max Handelman, had their son, Felix, via a surrogate. "It's essentially a test-tube baby - it's just that the test tube is another woman," she says. "That you can grow a baby outside of yourself! It's just amazing!"

Speaking about playing pregnant women onscreen, such as on 'Scrubs' and '30 Rock', and most recently in the film 'What to Expect When You're Expecting', Banks confesses that, "I had already mourned the loss of my fertility for myself, so I was past it. The only time it really affected me was when Alec Baldwin looked me straight in the eye and asked me, 'Are you pregnant right now?' And I blanched totally. Because of course, technically, no. I wasn't."

Banks debuted in the 1998 independent film 'Surrender Dorothy', as Elizabeth Casey, but became famous with the 2005 comedy film 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin.' Still, growing up, the actress believed she had physical impediments to start an acting career. "I thought I had chicken legs, and I thought, Oh, my boobies are too small," she says. "It was the era of Cindy Crawford and The Body — and I didn't have that."

Jessica Alba Covers Marie Claire June 2012
Talented actress, businesswoman and fashion icon Jessica Alba graces the cover of Marie Claire US June 2012 issue. In the accompanying interview, the star opens up about a variety of subjects like motherhood, fashion and growing up and becoming more confident. Check out some of the most important snippets of the interview.
Despite the multitude of changes Jessica Alba has been through over the years, some things never changed. Her killer body and her elegant allure remained a constant no matter what roles she adopted in her career or even in her personal life. If any proof was needed, the latest photoshoot which shows the actress's elegant side in designer pieces from Salvatore Ferragamo, John Galliano, Versace or Lanvin is undoubtedly among clearest illustrations one can get.

The multitude of dark pieces can definitely remind fans of the 'Dark Angel' series which greatly influenced her career. Despite the success of the series, she didn't feel quite right about the way she was presented: “I had a show [Dark Angel] that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected…I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!”

A multitude of changes went by since the early days of the 'Dark Angel' series. Among the most noticeable ones was motherhood, which incidentally made her turn her attention on environment-friendly products. Surprising her daughter Honor eating particles of her diaper, which had fallen apart, made the diva realize the necessity for non-toxic, sustainable products: "I started working on this three and a half years ago. I took a year off from acting when I had Honor, and I was home with her, diapering her, cleaning up after her, and I had a real frustration that I couldn't find healthy, nontoxic, and affordable products that actually worked. So I decided I needed to do something about it while my family and friends have young children", she stated.
